Through the gospel there is light

Through families there is missionaries
Through missionaries there is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ

If you told me
I would meet with missionaries
I would take the lessons
I would be baptized
I would have said you're crazy

If you told me
I would read the Book Of Mormon
I would go to church every Sunday
I would have faith in God the Father and Jesus Christ
I would have said you're out of your mind

If you told me
I would enjoy missionary work
I would be trying to teach others
I would be trying to bring others unto the church
I would have said you're insane

If you told me
My life would change
My sins would be forgiven
I would have a new lease on life
I would have said don't play games with me

If you had told me
All those things
A year ago
I would have told you to get away from me
I never would have believed you

Its crazy how
Its insane how
Its amazing how
Its awesome how

I was on a path
Thick with iniquity
Going nowhere good
I didn't like me

One day I decided
I would no more
